Mac Hillenbrand

Mac Hillenbrand is a woodworking artist hailing from San Diego. After studying filmmaking at UCSC, he started a non-profit art space in Oakland called the French Fry Factory. In 2014, he attended the American School of French Marquetry, then transitioned his career to crafting artwork from wood. He has worked as a professional, award-winning artist ever since, specializing in contemporary marquetry wood-inlay art and pioneering new methods for creating seascapes from wood.

Mac was recently featured for his art in the Union Tribune and maintains memberships in local guilds, including the Coronado Artist Association and the Spanish Village Art Center.
