Slotted Spectrum

Arizona has some of the most dramatic canyons centuries carved in Navajo sandstone by water and wind. Page, near the border of Utah, is the nexus of slot canyons on the Colorado Plateau, and offers many possibilities. 

Antelope Canyon is one of the most photographed destinations in the Southwest. Midday March through October. The sun's position creates light shafts that reach the canyon floor and illuminates gold, orange, pink and purple wavy patterns on the canyon walls. Winter colors are more muted but no less spectacular.
